I know this is called Wordless Wednesdays, but since this is my first one, I wanted to share why I’m starting this new weekly series (gulp…I’m really bad at doing anything over and over and over).
When I first adopted Milo, I posted tons of pictures on Facebook. So many people told me they loved seeing the pictures.
Then I got involved in Gateway Pet Guardians and fostering dogs, and I started posting about my foster dogs and dogs that need forever homes.
I just signed up for a new blogger community, Blog Paws.
Blog Paws is a way for pet bloggers to connect with each other and get connected with brands who want to work with them. I was exploring the site tonight and stumbled on the weekly Wordless Wednesday feature. It made me realize that I haven’t taken as many pictures of Milo as I initially did. And I definitely haven’t been sharing them online.
So…starting today, stop by every Wednesday to see pictures and possibly videos of Milo and my foster dogs. If you’ve ever met me in person, you know that “wordless” is something I’ll never be able to do. But I will limit my comments to a short caption.
I promise.
Milo in boots. Not a fan. Please take me back inside. Please.
Walking in shoes is harder than it looks.
It’s hard to focus on business when you have things stuck on your feet.
Have you ever put your dog in boots?
Aww.. he’s a cutie. I love seeing your pictures on Facebook! I’m interested in that doggie blogging thing. I noticed that I blog a fair amount about Raven although I’m trying to be careful not to “overdo it” for people who don’t care about my doggie/doggie DIY items.
Just like every niche, there is a huge community of people who are pet bloggers or like reading pet blogs. I think your focus on DIY and crafty things that are pet related will appeal to a huge group of people. More people are pet owners than aren’t. Just because they aren’t blogging about their dog doesn’t mean they don’t have one. You might want to create a category in your navigation for all things pet related and get involved in some pet communities. I’ve signed up for some Google+ communities in addition to all my dog rescue friends on Facebook. And I have a pet pinterest board.
I have similar boots and walk just like that too! Happy New Year – WOOF WOOF!

Great boots, I like how high they go on the legs. Maybe someday he will grasp the concept that they help his little paws. It does take some time for them to get used to.
I started the Wordless Wednesdays too. with Blog Paws and a few other places.
Trying to set up the posts in advance.
I’m a cat convert, but when I was little, our boxer had red boots too. Cute photo.
Hi Milo: I just wanted you to know I mentioned you on my Facebook page! Love, Cinnamon
Milo, you are a cutie in those boots and raincoat. Nice to meet you.
OH MILO, that is one fashion statement! Ever thought of sacking your stylist? 🙂
OMG, I was meant to stop in here today! I’m so glad your blog post was just ahead of mine in the SITS Sharefest 🙂
I am a doggie foster too, and this morning I had a family come by to see Princess Penelope, the lab-pit mix I’ve been fostering for roughly 6 weeks. I knew they were going to adopt her (because she’s awesome) but I found myself incredibly heartbroken when I got the phone call just a few hours later when they told me they love her and want to bring her home immediately. I want to sign up for Blog Paws. I also just bought Penelope a raincoat but they were out of booties–I’ve heard they take some getting used to 😉
Thank you for this!
Nice to meet you Charlotte! I think that fostering is so amazingly rewarding, though it can be hard to let them go. I just remember that every foster of mine that gets adopted means another one gets a shot at life inside with love.
I have to admit that I only use the boots when it’s really bad out and I expect their to be salt on the ground, which burns Milo’s paws.
I’m definitely going to go to Blog Paws, just need to figure out the timing and route. Where do you live? I’d love a road trip partner.
Milo is adorable. Words are always needed even on WW. Keep up the good work fostering pets that need forever homes.
