15 Crock Pot Recipes to Get You Through a Kitchen Remodel
If you missed the news, I bought a new house. I moved in the week before Christmas and am already in renovation mode. The first project for the new house is to remodel the kitchen, so the crock pot is going to get a lot of use over the next 6 weeks.
During most kitchen remodels that involve changing cabinets, you lose access to your oven and cooktop, and probably your microwave too. If you are lucky, you can keep your sink hooked up except for a day a day or two, but that’s not even a guarantee.
I have no desire to eat out for a month, so I’ve rigged a temporary kitchen in my dining room. I took 2 of the old cabinets and set them on the dining room floor. I borrowed a mini microwave and toaster oven from my sister for reheating, but I plan to do most of my cooking with the crock pot.
While the stove is out of commission, I need recipes that don’t require boiling noodles or browning ground beef.
While I do have another table set up in the living room as a coffee station that has space to assemble meals, the combined space still leaves me with almost no counter space. So, when picking recipes for this list, I looked for recipes that don’t require any pre-cooking or chopping lot of vegetables, and have a limited number of ingredients.
Whether you are getting ready to remodel your kitchen like me, or you just want some really easy crockpot recipes, I hope you’ll find some recipes that will make your dinner planning easier. The first two of these recipes are mine, and they are real winners. The rest will hit the cooking rotation soon.
