15 Apple Recipes that are NOT Dessert
One of my favorite fall childhood memories was going apple picking with my family at nearby Eckert’s Farm. I’ve thought about going back again, especially now that I know you can bring your dog with your into the apple orchards. But I’ve hesitated since I’m not much of a dessert eater and so many of the recipes I find for apples are pie, cobbler or apple crisp.
Looking back, I have no idea what my mom did with all of those apples. There were 6 of us picking apples, and I don’t recall her having many apple recipes.
While I have a few go-to recipes which include apples, I spent some time searching through apple recipes to see what I could find that isn’t dessert, muffins, applesauce or apple butter. While these recipes are certainly tasty, I’m more of a savory foodie and can only eat so much applesauce.
